Well, it has been a while since i have been on here.
For all you wondering how the Dominican Trip ended up, here is the short version.
Throughout the week we painted every room on the inside of the house, cleaned the bathrooms and add life to them (though they already had life of the cockaroach kind living in them), played with the kids at that orphanage as well as three others, enjoyed the local cusine (I loved ordering Chinese food from a spanish menu for a group of gringos!), intruded on the school associated with the mission (on test day no less...I'm sure the kids were okay with that), and generally got to share in the love of God working in and through the people down there. It was a beautiful, fast week. I wish I could have stayed longer and done more, but se la vie.
For all of you who keep asking me when and where I am going again, I have an answer now. I am going back to Monterrey, Mexico in April, and joy of joys, my friend and coworker Connie gets to go on the same trip this time. It is going to be so much fun with her there. The team will be blessed as well because she speaks Spanish fluently. I, alas, am a bit rusty still; though I do have some time to work on it before we go. We shall see how that goes.
Well, it's midnight and I have to work in the morning, so hasta luego for now.
Hope you are all well and that God shines his face on you this day.
It's a brilliantly blinding light, but so inviting and peaceful there.
Anyway, more random thoughts later.

Well, I had given up seeing the rest of the story...glad to finally see it. The trips sound delightful. Can't wait to hear about Mexico!
