Week 4

Are you sure this is only week FOUR!!! We ran 8 miles today. WOW!!! I think I was about one month away from my event last time I got up to 8 miles and I thought that was a long way then. I did not have a chance to practice this week because of illness and a crazy work schedule, but surprisingly I felt really good out there today. Good company always helps with that. Well, I should say I felt really good until about mile 7 or so, and then my feet hurt a bit (new shoes) and I was just getting tired (so I cut my last couple of run cycles a little bit shorter); but then we saw the turn off for the end and WOOOHOOOO!!! I don't know where the energy comes from, but I sprinted past Donna and headed in for the promised peanut butter bagels! Yummy!

What a beautiful morning to run along the CW trail. It started to cloud over and spit at us a bit on the way back, but beauty is there even in the grey. The birds don't care they just sing anyway. To me, that is an encouraging sound.

Well, I am now clean and fed and somewhat refreshed, so I better get this wedding gift wrapped and head off to the happy event. Thanks for cheering me on ~ AGAIN. I still don't know why I do this "for fun", except that it's a great cause, and I LOVE KIDS!!!! I hate to see any of them hurting, but it is quite a lesson to me to watch their determination through such anguish. Kids just accept things as they come and make the best of it. What great teachers they are to we older people who "forget" to do that sometimes.

Cheerio everyone. I pray you have a Christ-filled day today.
Love always,
Eryn
