Wow. It has been almost 2 weeks since I was on here! What a crazy week trying to figure out how people who normally work 9-5 fit everything in. I did not fit a whole lot of training time in, so when I go out today I'm sure that my legs will ask what I am doing! =0)
Saturday, I tagged along with Gloria to a TNT practice at zero:dark-early up in Tacoma with the intention of running with the team, but as I got started I realized I really needed to use the bathroom and that she is a LOT more fit than I am, so I stopped, found the bathroom, and then wandered around taking pictures. Oh! Miracle story there. I did not have my second battery with me and the one in the camera was not fully charged, so about 30 min. into my picture taking time the battery symbol started flashing at me (which means no more pictures!!!). I was thinking "oh man, I really wanted a picture of the team when they were coming back in" and "Lord, all this beautiful scenery and I just have to enjoy it with my eyes!!!!" "Lord, please charge the battery for me. You've done it before...please!" Do you know that He put the thought to shake it in my head. It totally wasn't my thought, because I was resolved to wander around for another hour waiting for the team to come back with out my camera. (I even thought I would try my "hand" at running around the hilly park.) At first, I shook the camera a bit. No luck. More pleading. He said, "Take it OUT of the camera." DUH!! He's so smart. =0) I took it out and shook it a while, trying to figure out how this might help. Shaking creates static, which creates electricity! Brilliant! Do you know it worked!!! Not only that...it lasted for another 2 hours at least, and was still working when I got home and put it on the charger! How incredible is that!!! God is truly an amazing God. How amazing it is that He loves us so much that the little things like camera batteries are important to Him because they are to us. WoW!!!
Today is my Mom's 60th birthday and my gift to her is to have the house "put together" and clean when she gets home from work, so I better go out and run before the rains come and then get to work on that. I'll let you know how it goes.
